Atlanta rapper 2 Chainz recently spoke on his forthcoming Based On A T.R.U. Story 2: Me Time solo album and what particular track stands out the most.
Although he did not name the record, Chainz pointed out a Mannie Fresh-produced record is his standout track.
“If I had to choose my biggest single off this album, it would probably be the Mannie Fresh record. I feel like we had some type of chemistry and brought back that old feeling,” Chainz said in an interview. “The process of being in the studio with a hip-hop producer, legends like DJ Toomp and Mannie Fresh, it was a very comfortable thing for me. I’ve had a relationship with those guys for years. My relationship with Mannie Fresh lasts as long as my relationship with Lil Wayne but actually just working on a project or my album is something we’ve never done before. He came to my spot in Atlanta for a couple of days and he made the beat right in front of me on the iPad.” (Civil TV)
A few days ago, Deuce said fans can expect a slightly throwback version of rap veteran Ma$e on the new LP.
“Murda Ma$e,” Chainz said referencing Ma$e’s appearance on the album. “I just think it’s truthful Ma$e. I ain’t heard him do this before so I gotta keep this. This was like a diary Ma$e. Like, he just let us read a page out of his diary, on this particular song. It’s called ‘Beautiful Pain,’ produced by C-Note, it’s kind of a feel-good record, it’s not ratchet as people would think most of my records are. … Me and Ma$e do have a record on the album, I’m definitely excited about people hearing that record.” (Power 106 FM)

Last month, his new cover art surfaced across the Internet.
Awww man, its almost time for 2 Chainz to get the clubs hyped again as he gears up to drop his new album, B.O.A.T.S II: Me Time. Today the ATLien is back with the cover art for his upcoming album, which is another example in simplistic beauty. The cover features nothing but two large link necklaces, zoomed in upon, and shining in all their glory. You may recall his debut album cover which featured only two chains, fittingly, well this is much of the same. The project drops on September 10th, so get your sharpie out and mark the calendar.
