Southern rappers Big Boi, 2 Chainz and Big Gipp have all come forward with their reactions to former Cash Money artist B.G. getting sentenced to 14 years behind bars on multiple felony convictions.
In light of rappers like Beanie Sigel and Young Buck recently getting sentenced to hard time, OutKast’s Big Boi took note of the current trend in artists heading to jail.

Fellow Atlanta rapper 2 Chainz credited B.G. for his influence on the New Orleans music scene.

Reports of B.G.’s jail sentence emerged online Wednesday (July 18) evening.
A New Orleans rapper who pleaded guilty to illegally possessing a firearm and conspiring to obstruct justice has been sentenced to 14 years in prison. Christopher Dorsey, known as “BG,” also was sentenced Wednesday by U.S. District Judge Helen Berrigan to three years of supervised release following his prison term. The 28-year-old pleaded guilty in December to being a felon in possession of a firearm in 2009. Prosecutors say Dorsey had three felony drug convictions between 1998 and 2003. (SF Gate)
