[As 2012 fades away with memories of baby mama drama, never-ending rap beefs and Vh1 handing out reality television shows left and right, SOHH's dropping a daily list of the 13 biggest things to look for in '13. Today, we're putting the hammer down on relationships; which ones are bound to steal the spotlight with eyebrow-raising dramatics.]
1. Cassie & Diddy Finally Say “We Do…Now Take That, Take That”
The rumors behind Cassie and Diddy have lasted since she really came out onto the scene in 2006 with her one and only debut album. But there are only so many leaked x-rated photos and subliminal Instagram photos, tweets and coincidental photos we can expect to keep coming out before these two finally get up the nerve to put a ring on it. If 2012 was all about the high-profile baby mama, 2013’s biggest trend will be started by Cassie and Diddy’s high-priced and decked out VIP-only wedding with “Bad Boy/Bad Girl” themes throughout. Diddy and Cassie’s wedding bands will make everyone dance.
2. Amber Rose & Wiz Khalifa’s Rosebuds Meets Taylor Gangs Wedding
Much like Diddy and Cassie, love has been in the air with Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa, although unlike the flashy couple, they’ve got a real Bad Boy getting ready to be born. The only thing missing thus far, aside from the actual child birth, is the wedding these two are going to have. The assumption is they’ll go pretty low-key because they’re pretty relaxed individuals, but something says they could have “Wedding of the Year” if all goes accordingly. When’s the last time we’ve seen a pregnant celebrity tying the knot at an alter? Expect Amber and Wiz to be on their cute swag on their wedding day this year.
3. Chris Brown & Rihanna Propose Via Instagram
The hook-up and break-up between Chris Brown and Rihanna is enough to drive the average person to boycotting their music for good, but something about their chemistry together seems pretty legit. They’ve been through the good, the bad and obviously the ugly and with the exception of Karrueche Tran trying to play Veronica to their Archie and Betty, this year is going to rocked by Chris Brown and Rihanna just saying “F’ ’em all” and hitting Las Vegas for a five-minute wedding. But of course this will all come up after a series of Instagram’ed photos of white cakes, ring fingers bearing a wedding ring behind the other’s middle fingers and clouds forming the word “I Do.”
4. Diamond Will Make Lil Scrappy & Soulja Boy Duke It Out
It’s not quite clear where the relationship status stands with Diamond in-between ex-boyfriend Lil Scrappy and current love interest Soulja Boy Tell Em but 2013 will have these two duking it out for her love. If Lil Scrappy can turn into a star courtesy of “Love & Hip Hop ATL” and SB is looking for new ways to get more media attention, then what’s stopping them from lacing up a few boxing gloves and going by the rules of “Winner Take All” with Diamond as the ultimate prize? We’ve already seen $5 million proposed celebrity offers to see hip-hop artists box one another, so why not put love on the line? Better yet, winner gets to marry Diamond?
5. Kanye West & Kim Kardashian Will Have A Televised Wedding
E! just hit the jackpot with Kanye West and Kim Kardashian announcing they’re becoming parents, likely insuring the network of having at least 18 more years of Kim Kardashian on-camera as America watches their child grow. Just like the network did with Kim and Kris Humphries, there’s no reason to think there won’t be cameras at Kim and Kanye’s special ceremony in 2013.
Bonus: Chad Ochocinco & Evelyn Lozada Marry…Again
It’s bound to happen. There’s been too many spottings of these two together. Call it a secret reunion at a Miami restaurant, but Chad and Evelyn are meant for each other. They’ve both lost a lot since last August, television show, endorsement deals, maybe even a position on the Miami Dolphins, but they’ve always seemed like a crazy fit for one another. It might be a bit awkward, but Vh1 would likely put the money behind a televised wedding and likely feature it in a special series: “Chad & Evelyn: The Big Comeback”
